We have used our artifact collection (of 25,000 items) as a starting point to tell stories about the city of Newark – this exhibition is the third iteration of the Invisible City (Newark) series and is also part of the Sci- Art Project.  

We have brought together students, artists, and trash as a way of understanding how we are reckoning with a legacy of trash in general, and with a focus on petrochemical-based plastic waste.  

The exhibition continues until March 2026.  We will be providing a number of public and educational programs starting in January.
