Paul Robeson Galleries
The Paul Robeson Galleries is dedicated to presenting art and cultural artifacts and educational and public programming in the spirit of the diverse metropolitan context of Rutgers University – Newark. This mission is carried out by presenting visual arts exhibitions, gallery education, and public programs in a network of exhibition spaces across the Rutgers University – Newark campus and Express Newark.
They offer a variety of opportunities such as programs, events, tours, and events for students, local artists, and visitors of the Gallery. Participating artists are invited to speak about their work, philosophies, and processes for each exhibition. Each artist talk may also include an introduction and exhibition overview by the Director/Curator of the Paul Robeson Galleries, followed by a question-and-answer session. These talks are scheduled according to the level of interest and speaker availability.
Education programs are available for pre-K through high school students and can be held either at the Paul Robeson Galleries or offsite at your institution.
