Asbury Park Dance Festival
Asbury Park Dance Festival (APDF) believes that the arts, and dance specifically, have the power to build community, break down barriers, spread joy, and enrich people’s lives. APDF is an annual one-day festival during the summer that brings together world-class professional dance artists to share their artistry with communities in New Jersey. 100% of APDF’s ticket proceeds help to support the arts education advocacy work that Arts Ed NJ does throughout the state. Since 2019, APDF has presented companies and dancers, including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Limón Dance, Pilobolus, American Ballet Theater, Martha Graham Dance Company, Caleb Teicher, Ephrat Asherie, Paul Taylor Dance Company, and more, as well as co-commissions by Jamar Roberts and Keerati Jinakunwhiphat. In addition, APDF is committed to offering FREE dance workshops to dancers of all ages throughout the year, as well as experiences that bring our community together through movement. Through our partnership with Arts Ed NJ, we aim to ensure that the next generation of budding artists and arts-lovers have access to the resources they need to pursue their dreams of living a life in the arts or a life that is enriched and made whole by the arts.
