Juneteenth, officially recognized as a federal holiday in 2021, commemorates June 19, 1865, the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. This day symbolizes liberation, progress, and the ongoing journey toward justice and equality.

Join us for an uplifting, engaging and all-around fun time at our annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration. Be inspired to hear of the resilience, strength, and faith of enslaved Africans of the past and the hope and fight for a better world presently and for the future.

This free, family-friendly event will be an evening filled with on stage live performances to get you moving and grooving, activities such as games, tie-dying station, community art making, and more, delicious food, community resources and small business vendors to support. All coming together to inspire connection and support community.
