Grace Fox Big Band

An all-female lineup, led by Grace Fox, recently released its debut album Eleven O’ Seven. The group is comprised of female musicians from different stages of life and from all across the country. They have performed at the Times Square live music series, Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Birdland. Big Band jazz at its best!

Sutcliffe/Jackson Quintet

Trombonist Jason Jackson, (Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band, Vanguard Orchestra) teams up with Liam Sutcliffe, trumpet (Dizzy's Club, Chris’s Cafe) along with pianist Elliot Bernard, bassist Kenny Davis, and drummer Zach Lorelli.  These five prominent figures in today’s East Coast jazz scene are set to fill the park with the vibrant sounds of live jazz.

Eddie Allen's Sãlongo

Trumpeter Eddie Allen leads Sãlongo, a seven-piece Afro-Cuban/Brazilian group that combines Mongo Santamaria's rhythmic lattice work, with Brazilian beats, the harmonic concepts of contemporary jazz, and the commercial veneer of Santana.

Winard Harper and Jeli Posse

Winard Harper, world-renowned Jazz drummer and bandleader, brings his group, “Jeli Posse”, to Riverside Gardens Park for a night of inspiring and thoughtful music. Get ready for swing savvy and world spiced flavor that the group expands from the African traditions that have been passed down.

Leonieke's Generations of Jazz

Leonieke Scheuble, a phenomenal pianist, organist, and composer, brings her “Generations of Jazz Quintet” for a night of original compositions and tributes to the hard bop masters. Joining her on drums is her father, Nick, and bassist, Bill Crow, who at 97 years old, is still an active performer.

Julius Tolentino Quintet

Julius Tolentino, performer, composer, and educator, combines sophisticated technique and skilled interpretation to create a sound that is unique while also based on tradition. Tolentino studied with the late Jackie McLean and has performed at the Newport Jazz Festival, the Village Vanguard, Birdland, The Blue Note, and Dizzy’s Club in the Lincoln Center. As a leader, his debut album, “Just the Beginning,” on the Sharp Nine label, reached No. 8 on the jazz charts in 2006.
