Lyrica Chamber Music

Lyrica Chamber Music was founded in 1987 and has become one of the most extended-running chamber music series in Morris County history. Lyrica Chamber Music aims to spark a passion for live performance, chamber music, and community by creating world-class, innovative programs in a welcoming and inclusive space of collective discovery.

Lyrica seeks to present concerts of world-class artistic quality, create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for both artists and audiences; partner with schools, senior centers, businesses, and other community organizations throughout Morris County to foster broad access to music; create innovative and diverse programs, including baroque music, classical masterworks, music by living composers, folk and jazz artists, and artists who blur the lines between these genres; and support emerging artists and composers by featuring them alongside established colleagues and promote equity by including music and artists from diverse backgrounds.

Lyrica brings musicians of national and international stature to perform in an informal, intimate, and welcoming community setting and to conduct residencies in collaboration with local community partners. Lyrica has sponsored a Young Composer’s Competition, a chamber orchestra, and has released commercial recordings.
