Cape May Stage

Cape May Stage is recognized as one of the Mid-Atlantic’s leading professional Equity theaters and most significant cultural assets. It is a place where audience members can experience plays with timely themes that resonate locally, nationally, and around the world. It inspires nationally recognized actors and artists to partner with it and perform on its stage, and it provides a dynamic incubator for the creation and staging of new works. It is also a leader in championing theater arts in its community and helping to drive economic growth in its region.

In addition to theatre performances, they play a variety of fun, family-friendly flicks at their Robert Shackleton Playhouse. Movie Night at Cape May Stage is a community “Film-Raiser” series put on to benefit a local non-profit.

The National Playwright Symposium at Cape May Stage brings talented emerging and professional playwrights together with some of the world’s most renowned artists in an environment of community, creativity, and craft. Held every spring at Cape May Stage, the symposiums feature Tony, Pulitzer, Oscar, and Emmy Winners! The four-day symposium culminates with a reading of new short plays written by the participants.
