LPCCD seeks to facilitate the integration of arts and culture amenities to advance local economic development, housing and neighborhood stability, and community engagement to support Lincoln Park’s transformation into a healthy, safe, and vibrant neighborhood.

As a nonprofit arts organization, we enhance and transform lives every day. We delight audiences with world-class performances, nurture students through our comprehensive arts education programs, and engage our community with free cultural events across the city.

Newark Arts Council (NAC, aka Newark Arts) is a key anchor institution that drives Newark as a global City of the Arts.

The mission of the Cathedral Music Ministry is to lead and uplift the community in sung prayer. The basilica has the largest pipe organ of its kind in the Garden State. Programming includes full-length concerts, half-hour concerts Wednesdays at noon, and livestreams of performances.

The Paul Robeson Galleries is dedicated to presenting art and cultural artifacts as well as educational and public programming in the spirit of the diverse metropolitan context of Rutgers University – Newark.

This state-wide historical museum, library, and archives collects, preserves, and interprets the rich and intricate political, social, cultural, and economic history of New Jersey. Founded in 1845, it the oldest cultural institution in the state, promoting exploration of our cultures, past, and present.

New Jersey’s largest fine art museum is a vibrant center for the arts and community and places special emphasis on public programming that engages local artists and audiences.
