The Movie Music of
Spike Lee and Terence Blanchard November 1, 2008 | 8 PM

Legendary filmmaker Spike Lee joins forces with trumpeter-composer Terence Blanchard, his quintet, and a chamber orchestra for a concert devoted to the music of Lee's films. Blanchard will be joined by 2008 Grammy winner Patti Austin, rising singer-guitarist Raul Midón, and neo-soul sensation Bilal as special guest vocalists.
Come out early for a pre-performance "Prelude Crafts Fair" featuring works by a variety of tri-state artists, then stick around after the show for a post-performance discussion on the role of music in film moderated by Angelika Beener from WBGO-FM. Your night wraps up with a cocktail reception at the Theater Square Grill with Terence Blanchard and Bilal in attendance.
