BURLINGTON, NJ – November 23, 2009 – The Art Pride NJ Foundation is hosting its first online auction through Bidding for Good.  Ann Marie Miller, Executive Director, states, “We are grateful that so many donors and well know New Jerseyans have stepped forward to help the Art Pride NJ Foundation by contributing a wide variety of auction items.  There really is something for everyone here, and this is an excellent opportunity to find that unique holiday gift for family members and friends while helping support the arts in New Jersey.”

What:   An online auction including autographed items from Bruce Springsteen, fellow E-Street band member Max Weinberg,  James Gandolfini, Rutgers Football Coach Greg Schiano, Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report, John Lloyd Young of Jersey Boys, Jane Krakowski of 30 Rock, nationally know author Janet Evanovich, McCarter Theatre Artistic Director Emily Mann, and award-winning poet Paul Muldoon.  Other items include tickets to cultural events throughout New Jersey including the NJ Performing Arts Center and Paper Mill Playhouse.  A  Cape May getaway and a private wind concert by members of the NJ Symphony Orchestra are among extraordinary items going up for bid.

When:  Monday, November 30, 8:00 am to Friday, December 10 at 8 pm.

Why:  All online auction proceeds will support the administrative operations of the Art Pride NJ Foundation that works to increase public awareness of how important the arts are to New Jersey’s economic recovery, a well rounded education, and to the State’s overall quality of life. The Art Pride NJ Foundation manages Discover Jersey Arts, the State’s comprehensive initiative to build arts audiences, and Arts Plan NJ, a plan that demonstrates how the arts are connected to all facets of everyday life.  Art Pride also conducts research and tracks trends that affect the non-profit arts industry to assist arts groups and artists throughout New Jersey.

Go online beginning 8:00 am EST to place your bid on items described at http://artprideonlineauction.cmarket.com  Descriptive information is available along with estimated values of each item.  Buttons also help potential donors who wish to contribute items or cash, and to refer friends to the web site.
