Julius Kramer was educated at the Brooklyn Museum Arts School, American Artists School and Arts Student's League.  He served as an Art Supervisor for the Franklin School in NYC and Cheshire School Union in Cheshire, MA.

Kramer was a featured artist in the 2000 New Jersey Fine Arts Annual.  Regarding his work selected for the Arts Annual exhibition, The New York Times said that, “though he was born in 1920, Kramer paints with freshly minted gusto. His abstract paintings are inventive and complex... and have the authority of someone who was present at the source.”  Kramer has completed his life’s work in five distinctive periods of paintings and drawings which evolved out of his creative journey by way of his own history responding to a volatile art culture.

Kramer has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in New Jersey as well as other major cities including New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Paris. His work is also in numerous public and private collections.
