16 x 20

Ramona Dooley is a New Jersey four seasons plein air painter and a strong advocate for painting outdoors. She has a delicate, pretty and joyous style without succumbing to illustrative temptations. Her studio works, while decidedly impressionistic in style, are based on plein air studies and photographs.

Exhibiting since 1971, Dooley is a national and local award-winning artist. Dooley's paintings have been juried into dozens of local and national/international exhibits across the country. Her painting, "Eleanor Roosevelt's Home," was juried into Oil Painters of America's 10th National Annual Juried Exhibition of Traditional Oils held at Zantman Art Galleries in Palm Desert, California; and "Musconetcong Blues" was juried into the Oil Painters of America's Salon Show of Traditional Oils held at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Michigan. Dooley's works can be found in private collections in the United States, Italy, Japan and New Zealand. "Llama Farm" is part of a permanent collection at the Hackensack University Medical Center (Westwood, NJ).

She is an Associate Member of Oil Painters of America and the American Impressionist Society and is also a member of the New Jersey Plein Air Painters (NJPAP) and Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council. From 2008 - 2014, she was an elected Artist Member of the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York City.

Dooley is represented by Rich Timmons Fine Art Gallery in Doylestown, New Jersey. Her paintings are sold through galleries and at events.
