A featured artist in the 1999 New Jersey Fine Arts Annual, Debra Weier is the recipient of awards from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts in 1987 and 1993, as well as the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and Women's Studio Workshop.  Of her commissioned works, she designed a mural in mosaic called Less Equals More in New Brunswick, NJ, and has various works on display for Rutgers University.

Since her first showings in 1978, she has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions and group shows.  Weier has works in selected collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, the British Museum in London, the Smithsonian Institution in NYC, the National Art Gallery in Syndey, Australia, the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., and other museums and universities across the country.
