Originally from Ridgewood, Liz Nicklus moved to Cumberland County in 1987. Since then, she has exhibited her oils, watercolors, and mixed media throughout the region. Her painting studies have included Stockton State College, the Ridgewood School of Art, Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia and the Barn Studio in Millville.  Besides painting, her work has expanded to include the creation and instruction of mosaics on functional and found objects. She has completed several public mosaic murals and studied with renowned Philadelphia muralist Isaiah Zagar in the summer of 2003.

Nicklus has been instrumental in the development of the Millville Glasstown Arts District with her pioneering involvement with the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts, partnership in High Street Design Gallery, and her work with teens and children on artistic projects such as murals and mosaics.

Both her paintings and mosaics can be found in various public and private collections. She is a founding member of the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts, a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists, the Cape May County Art League, the DaVinci Art Alliance in Philadelphia, and the Cumberland County based painting group, the Glasstown Nine.
